Founder & Chief Executive Officer | Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Ph.D., M.Sc.
P. M. Bukasa is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT), consultant, project manager, and Founder & Chief Executive Officer of PROJET FACILE GROUP (PF GROUP), a mining consulting and project management firm he has led since 2014. He has more than 15 years of international experience in the mining industry across Canada, Africa, and Europe.
His expertise includes strategic mine planning, mining operations and portfolio optimization, mine design, technical and economic studies, financial evaluation, project management, and value optimization of mining investments. His experience encompasses both open-pit and underground mining operations and a wide range of commodities, including copper, cobalt, gold, uranium, diamonds, zinc, nickel, and platinum-group elements (PGEs).
P. Bukasa also has expertise in ESG, sustainability, and social acceptability, including the assessment of environmental and socioeconomic issues, stakeholder engagement, climate change, environmental performance, and the integration of sustainability principles into mining project planning and evaluation.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mining Design and Planning, an M.Sc. in Mining Engineering, and a Master's degree in Project Management. He is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and is also a member of the UQAT Sustainable Development Orientation Committee (GTO-Eco) and the Society of Mining Professors.
A professional trainer for more than 10 years, P. Bukasa has designed and delivered training programs in mining engineering, project management, leadership, mining economics, financial evaluation, rock mechanics, mine ventilation, ESG, and sustainable mining, working with universities and organizations in Canada and Africa.
Through PROJET FACILE GROUP, he brings together multidisciplinary expertise to help clients improve project performance, manage risks, optimize investments, and maximize the value and sustainability of mining projects.

Entering the Mining Industry
The award of a major contract with the University of Namibia marked a significant turning point in the history of PROJET FACILE. The company began developing its expertise in mining engineering and project management, while progressively expanding its activities across Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
This experience opened the door to new collaborations with the mining industry, including PELGEA GROUP, through the delivery of project management training to employees of a mining company.
International Mining Experience

Over the years, PROJET FACILE has led more than 70 mining projects and completed 33 mining design and planning assignments in the DRC, Namibia, and Zimbabwe, covering open-pit mines, underground mines, and quarries.
This experience also includes projects involving uranium and diamonds, in addition to copper, cobalt, gold, tantalum, zinc, and construction materials.

After Namibia
Returning to Quebec — A New Chapter
Following the completion of its long-term engagement with the University of Namibia, PROJET FACILE entered a new phase of development, strengthening its activities in Canada.
This transition was supported by new mandates with the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). PROJET FACILE has contributed to professional training initiatives in leadership for project-based organizations, as well as standardization and project management within the Master’s program in Project Management at the Val-d’Or campus.
These collaborations have strengthened PROJET FACILE’s expertise in project management and professional development, while reinforcing its presence in a region strategically connected to Quebec’s mining industry.
